Stock control feature is used to show how much stock you have at any one time and for keep track of it. This feature is recommended for product oriented business. If your business is only service orientented and you don't sell items you can disable this option.To enable / disable stock control go to inventory.
When stock control feature is enabled there is some changes in program. Product detail window looks little different and contains additional fields.
- Stock. This is amount of stock. Use add/substract buttons to change amount of your stock.
- Stock low level. Identifying a minimum stock level. This is your re-order point.
- Supplier. Identifying the provider (vendor) of this product. To select supplier for this product first you have to add new supplier in customers module.
- Cost. Cost price (purchase price).
- Profit. If cost price is determined profit will be calculated. This value is result of subtraction purchase cost from price you sell it for.
When stock control is enabled on products list are new columns like Stock, Cost, Total cost, Total price and Total profit. On the bottom is summary row which show you Total profit. Note that profit calculation doesn't work for services only with products.
Purchase module
The Purchase module provides an easy way for businesses to order and purchase products for sale. The Purchase module enables you to start your inventory management process. From this module, you have the ability to:
- create purchase invoices
- dynamically update inventory levels from purchase invoice
- record the cost of product
- track accounts payable
- purchase reports
Purchase module and stock control If your use Stock Control feature, your inventory levels will be dynamically updated from purchase invoices. You can also set how cost of products will be updated from purchase invoice. Read "Costing Info" topic in Inventory section.
Tax rates
Configure your tax rates. Use Add button then enter name and percentage. Tax rate set as default will be your default tax rate when adding new product. Tax rate set as inactive will be not available in dropdown in product details view.
Multiple tax rates
You can apply to three different tax rates to your item (product). When you select Use tax rate 2 option then you will allowed to apply second tax to your item. Simmilar with Use tax rate 3 option which allow you to apply thirid tax rate to item.
If you work in multiple tax rate mode on invoice view will available additional columns to edit tax 2 or tax 3. Similar in product details view will available additional drop down to apply second and third tax to item.

Inclusive or exclusive tax method In default tax applied to item is not included in the rate (to price of product). If you need include tax in the rate just select Use inclusive tax option.
